The Jeep wouldn't start, so I had to have it towed in to get a new battery. Meanwhile, I'm working from home, and I have a lap assistant. Hot Pocket is even dressed for business. A Girl and Her Tree (075)

My mom hates googly eyes. One year, Nick and I bought a bag of like 60 googly eyes, and Madeleine put them on everything. Her lamp, her remotes, her coffee maker, her car keys. So this year, while browsing Archie McPhee, I find these "Giant Christmas Tree Googly Eyes" and I had to have them. I put them on the tree while my mom was out of the room and when she saw it, it was hilarious. I love tree.

I was playing around with different lipstick colors this morning (I've been on a kick, it's unusual) and I couldn't find a way to pose my mouth that 1) showed off the lipstick color well but didn't 2) mean I was making pouty duck lips. Then I got silly. I've decided this should be the new duck face.

I bought new lip gloss. Thrilling, I know. It's very weird. It's sticky, but if I lick my lips, the stickiness recedes. It's "Infallible" lip gloss. So, I guess my lips are currently incapable of error. And glossy.
