Not Your Average Joe (38)
This is a rare glimpse of my officemate, Joe. Not rare because he's never here, but rare because I usually take my photo when he's not here. Coincidentally, always. And it seems weird to think, "Oh, I should wait to take this picture until Joe is back so I can purposefully capture his image."
So, uh, yeah. That's Joe.

El Lavaplatos Se Muerta; Dispues, Soy En Fuego (037)
The cute happy fun you see in this photo only came after 14+ hours of dishwasher misery. Our dishwasher broke two years to the day after we installed it. Nick disconnected it, checked for clogs, reconnected it. Still wouldn't drain. Disconnect, check, reconnect. Nothing. Figured the pump was broken. Part cost $200 with shipping, would take 6 weeks to arrive. After much calling of various repair places proved unsuccessful, we went to Best Buy and bought a(nother) new dishwasher. Once that bad boy was installed (after disconnecting the old one AGAIN) we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for well-deserved beer and chicken. We played NTN Trivia and I was muy en fuego.

Drinking Raspberry Chia Kombucha (034)
I'm trying kombucha now and then, because it's supposed to be great for digestion and I have digestion issues.
If you look closely at this bottle of Synergy Chia Kombucha, you can see the thousands of tiny chia seeds in the beverage. The drink has the usual sour-fermenting-kombucha smell, which is unappealing. It tastes delicious, because of the raspberry juice. However, the texture is...well, it's viscous and full of tiny seeds. So, yeah. It's something you just swallow down, it seems. I have chewed the tiny seeds in a mouthful after rolling it around in my mouth a bit, and that's okay.
It's very good for you, though. Chia seeds have 8 times more omega-3s than salmon, more antioxidants than blueberries, and more fiber than oatmeal. We'll see if all that translates into any noticeable difference for me today.
